NPA Port Manager, TCIPC Refurbishes Water Tanker, To Boost Fire Safety.

In a proactive move towards enhancing fire safety, Tincan Island Port Complex , has recently refurbished with a state-of-the-art fire service water tanker, a vital tool in the event of a fire outbreak or other emergencies.

This initiative underscores the Ports Managers  commitment to safeguarding its employees, assets, and operations.

In a chart with the Port Manager of NPA Tincan Island Port Complex,  Dr. Abubarka Sani Isa, to gain insight into the complex fire safety strategy and the impact of this new equipment,  noted that  the water tanker has been left unattended and they really had to refurbished   it for use.

"The water tanker  has been left moribund for quite a long time,  and has been in a bad state, we had to refurbished it to use in our fire  department".

According to Dr. Isa, they had the water tanker   but not in order, and had waited for Marina to do something about it until now.

In his words, "We reached out to Marina for repairs, but decided not to wait any longer and deal with it by ourselves, I thank God we have it now, though we are not praying for any fire incident but if it occur, we use it", Dr. Isa stated.

Dr Isa noted that the equipment is purely water tanker  which will be used in supplying water to fire equipment, he added  that NPA has other two fire equipments they are currently  putting in order so the two would  work together,

"We have another fire equipment which we are currently trying to put in order, the two would work together not for NPA alone but for any of our Stakeholders, at times, we might be called to terminals or any other places when there is accident, we quickly proffer support", Dr. Isa said
