Nigeria Customs Zone 'A' And ANLCA Western ZONE Strengthens Alliance To Enhance National Security

 


The Assistant Comptroller General of Customs, Zone 'A' Mohammed Babandede has pledge stronger collaboration with the Association of Nigeria licensed customs agent (ANLCA), -western zone to improve revenue generation and enhance national security.

The Zonal Coordinator ,ACG Mohammed Babandede made this commitment on Thursday October 16,2025 when he played host to the Zonal Coordinator West of association of Nigeria licensed customs agent Chief Femi Anifowose and his entourage in his office.


He explained that the engagement underscores the critical need for seamless synergy between customs and the association to eliminate trade bottlenecks, support president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's National Single window (NSW) initiative and propel Nigeria toward a $1 trillion economy by 2023.

Speaking earlier, the ANLCA coordinator Western zone congratulated the Assistant Comptroller General Mohammed Babandede on his appointment as the Zonal Coordinator Zone 'A', Lagos describing it as the recognition of his service towards a better Nigeria.


The association coordinator Western Zone chief Femi Anifowose in his speech further listed some critical complaints which in his words contribute as a major bottlenecks leading to high demurrage fees and exacerbating supply chain disruption.

Responding, the Assistant Comptroller General of Customs noted that the," visit is a testament to our shared resolve by imploring greater collaboration,we are not just reducing bottlenecks but we are unlocking Nigeria's potential for greater growth,job abundance and a prosperous future for all.
