
The Comptroller General of Customs, Wale Adeniyi has made fresh appointments into the Customs Management team
According to a statement by the National Public Relations Officer, CFC Abdullahi Maiwada, the appointment is sequel to the statutory retirement of some members of the management team of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, approved key management appointments in acting capacity and redeployment to enhance strategic service delivery.
A breakdown of the appointments and redeployment are as follows:
B.M Jibo was elevated to DCG Finance Administration and Technical Services (FATS),
O.A Alajogun becomes Ag. DCG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I), while
I.G Umar also moves to Ag. ACG Headquarters.
O.Adah Salefu is now Acting ACG Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC),
B.A Makinde is now Acting ACG Human Resource Development (HRD), and
Timi Bomodi was elevated to ACG Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I)

These appointments, according to the Statement are a testament to the officers’ exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service. The service remains committed to providing strategic leadership to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for optimum performance.
CGC thanked the retired members of the management for their meritorious services, the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi also congratulated newly appointed officers and charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.
