Tinubu Confirms Adewale Adeniyi's Appointment as CGC,Nigeria Customs Service

Barely four months ago acting as CGC, Nigeria Customs Service, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has on Friday, 20th October, confirmed the appointment of Bashir Wale Adeniyi MFR as the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). The confirmation was released on Friday in a statement signed by the Director, Information, Presidency, Willie Bassey. According to the statement, “the appointment takes effect from 19th October, 2023 and his tenure is in accordance with the extant provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR)” President Tinubu tasked the new CG to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment.
