LFTZ Command Decorates Promoted Officers As CAC Charges Them On Professionalism, Commitment And Discipline

 


The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), in their various command  continues  with the promotion excise that started since  the 16th of this September, 2025

The Lagos Free Trade Zone Command  also on Wednesday, 17th of August 2025 decorated their  newly promoted officers with their various new ranks.

Addressing the officers, family members and the  media men  at the event, the Customs Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Hauwa KA Abubakar said  that a total of twenty-nine (29) officers and men of the Command  have been promoted to various ranks which is as follows:


Deputy Comptroller (DC) to Comptroller (CC) – 2

Assistant Comptroller (AC) to Deputy Comptroller (DC) – 6

Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) to Assistant Comptroller (AC) – 5

Superintendent of Customs (SC) to Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) – 7

Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC) to Superintendent of Customs (SC) – 2

Assistant Superintendent of Customs I (ASC I) to Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC) – 2

Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) to Assistant Superintendent of Customs I (ASC I) – 2

Inspector of Customs (IC) to Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) – 2

Assistant Inspector of Customs (AIC) to Inspector of Customs (IC) – 1.

Comptroller Abubakar urged the promoted officers to rededicate themselves to duty adding that “For those we are decorating today, this recognition is a testament to your perseverance, loyalty, and invaluable contributions to the growth and success of this Command and the Service at large”.




In her words, ”As we celebrate, I must also remind us that with higher ranks come greater responsibilities. Promotion is not only a reward but also a call to higher expectations. You are now positioned to serve as role models, to inspire your subordinates, and to raise the standard of professionalism, discipline, and efficiency within our Command”.

Comptroller Abubakar who resume duty at the Command on the 4th of September thanked all the sister agencies as she noted that their support not only strengthens inter-agency synergy but also reinforces the spirit of partnership needed to enhance national security, trade facilitation, and revenue generation. 

"Our collective progress is made possible by the unwavering commitment of officers like those we honor today. It is my firm belief that this promotion will further energize you to contribute more diligently to our common objectives of improved revenue, compliance in Free Zones and the Port, as well as stronger stakeholder engagement".

She congratulated all the newly decorated officers and their families as she prayed that this milestone should serve as a source of renewed strength, motivation, and commitment. 

The CAC also urges all to continue to give their best, uphold the values of the Service and to justify the confidence reposed in them.
