PFN emphasises message content to reduce corruption, encourage patriotism

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State Chapter, on Aug. 26, 2025 said that, it has reviewed its message content preached to worshippers in order to re-orientate people to discard with corruption and to encourage patriotism.

The PFN made this known at a news conference to commemorate PFN Lagos Chapter executives' one year in office.

The body said that, in the last one year, it has embarked on several reforms, reconciliatory measures and humanitarian services that has made the body more united and acceptable to the people.

It said that, it would in years to come mainstream the spiritual growth of faithful and participate in improving the nation's electoral process to ensure better governance in the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that, the event to hearld the executives one in office anniversary, was held at the Global Impact Church, Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, the PFN Chairman, Pastor Yemi Davids, said that, the body, as part of its transformation agenda has reviewed its message content to preached to worshippers to enable people discard with the culture of corruption and to instill patriotism.

Davids, who doubles as the Pastor in charge of the Global Impact Church, described corrupt practices as the bane of the society that transcends the public office holders to the ways and perception of ordinary people on the streets.

According to him if we must get it right in every facet of our national life a concerted effort must be made toward a reorientation that fosters social redeeming values needed for the nation's growth and development.

"The PFN as a body has embarked on the training of its preachers to equip them toward impacting people through daily  preaches and the Sundays sermons on the new preaching template.

"The country cannot progress if the people are neck-deep in corruption and slander the country but rather progresses when the people imbibe the ideal notion and place national interest above personal interest," he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Shepherd of the Chapel of Christ the Light Church Alausa Ikeja, Pastor Dele Ajayi, said that, one of the new content messages that could positively impact people's daily conducts was the "Mannerless Christian".

Ajayi, an executive of the body, said that, he has adopted the preaching of the topic in his Church to change people's daily conducts toward doing things right and to impact society positively.

PFN Vice Chairman, Rev. Janet Onolapo, said that, the body regretted the killings in Benue and other parts of the country, said that, the body would not relent in its humanitarian works to the needy but would continue to pray for peace in the country to avoid people being displaced that would necessitate relief materials interventions
