Maj. Gen. Buba Marwa, Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo, Others, Set For National Development Hall of Fame

 


The famous National Development Hall of Fame, is set to celebrate it's National Merit Award, which is said to be the first of it's kind in Nigeria.

The Merit award  is slated for  Saturday June 21, 2025 at the Nigeria National Merit Award Secretariat, in the heart of Abuja, Nigeria.

The Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Maj. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Nigeria Premier Football League Board Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, ACG HK Ejibunu, the Coordinator of Customs Operation Whirlwind, would formally be inducted.


Others personalities are,  Bash Ali, OON, Hajji Gafar Liameed, the LSFA Board Chairman, Paul Ejime, a seasoned journalist, Pastor Dr. Victoria Ben Shimfe, Captain Raymond Bitanis (Rtd.), Chief Dr. Matthias Okuma, Onyekachukwu Davidson Ogbu, PRO of the Nigerian Community in Cote D' Ivoire, John Ocholi, Amb. Abigail Jerry, AC Dinya Sabo, Hon. Dr. Oluwasegun Musa, former gubernatorial candidate in Lagos and CSC Lauretta Utubor, amongst others.

The National Development Merit Award ceremony which is declared the most celebrated in the West African sub-region is expected to play host to Nigerians who have written their names in the sand of time, either based in Nigeria or abroad.

The Director of Honours, who doubles as a celebrated Security Consultant,  High Chief Darlinghtyn Momoh Umoru, said the persons declared  worthy of honour were considered from all aspects of human endeavors. And they include; socio-economic, security, political and religious spheres, whether in the Organized Private Sector or Public Sector.


Addressing news men In Lagos, the Director of Honours, High Chief Umoru  further revealed that honouring these great men and women, who must be of Nigerian origin irrespective of their country of resident, was a part of the organizers objectives for promoting merit and development.

In his words, "These honours, without bias are for a few persons who though, must have excelled or are excelling in their respective careers or profession with recognizable contributions and, or achievements toward the upliftment, growth, peace and unity of the Nigerian nation".

Others  expected to be inducted are,  Dr. Rafiu Oladipo, the President of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control and the President General, Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Chief Calistus Elozieuwa and Dr. Martins Okay Justice.

Dr.  Chioma Amajoh, not into the National Development Hall of Fame but of  the prestigious Mother Africa Hall of Fame will also be inducted.

The honours powered by Elation magazine, Royal International magazine, Elation Communications Limited and an online publication, news.elationcoms.com will hold annually in Nigeria.
