Renowned Customs broker and former President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA)), Prince Olayiwola Shittu, will be the chairman of the award dinner organized by Nigerian maritime journalists to honour Customs Comptroller-General, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
The event which comes up on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos by 6pm is expected to attract the who is who in the maritime industry –from CEOs of government agencies to freight forwarding executives, ship owners, terminal operators, shipping lines, among others.
Nigerian maritime journalists under their various associations, got together to honour the Customs CG as the “Iconic Maritime Personality of the Year 2024”. The award was a unanimous decision by the journalists cutting across print, electronic and online media.
The journalists believe that CG Adeniyi has posted excellent performance since assumption of office as Customs Comptroller-General.
This excellent performance is in the areas of revenue collection, anti-smuggling, trade facilitation, national security, staff welfare, inter-agency collaboration, infrastructure upgrade, Information and Communication Technology, Corporate Social Responsibility, among others
