A group of committed journalists under the aegis of Alliance of Nigerian Catholic Maritime Journalists(ANCAMAJ), has on Thursday 9th of May unveiled the maiden Edition of their epochal magazine “Prime Suave”.
The unveiling which took place at the Sacred Heart Parish hall in Apapa was honored by some
high profile persons to support and add colour to the event.
The chairman of the occasion, Comrade Emmanuel Emeka Enwelu, a seasoned Customs Licenced Agent with over 25 years of experience in the sector, used the opportunity to advise the association to try and live up to its core mandates as well as seeking excellence in all its ramifications.
Mr. Enwelu says that our country needs committed men and women who will stand for a cause and do what is right in order that we may move away from the present economic, social and political quagmire plaguing us as a nation.
The special guest of honour Comptroller Dera Anselm Nnadi, the quintessential Customs Area Controller of the Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigerian Customs Service ably represented by Mr Christian Ugochukwu,
advises the association to keep the flag flying and never to be deterred by the present economic realities, he also added that the core values for which the association set up this publication should never be deviated from the status quo.

Earlier in his speech,
the president of the association, Alfred Omenihu stated the history and the objectives of the association, noting that “Our motto, “…Moving the Mandate Forward,” encapsulates our mission as media professionals, to news dissemination, agenda setting, public relations, and the conferment of status.
"We feel a responsibility, as trained researchers, to foster the growth of fellow laypersons, particularly in the face of the numerous distractions prevalent in the 21st century. Our primary values lay in enlightenment, awareness, and the consolidation of faith through research, publications, and motivational/enlightenment programmes”.
Speaking further ” We have made a firm promise to ourselves that we will continue to move the mandate forward. The magazine is really loaded with a plethora of serendipities, with more concentration in Maritime activities".

On his part, Chief Sir Osita Chukwu contributed by adding that the coming together of members of this association is for a noble course and advised that they should be shining examples at all times for other journalists to emulate.
The Prime Suave Magazine is a general interest, quarterly piece that is set to reawaken the consciousness of the reading public on matters that are of concern to the Maritime sector in particular and Nigeria in general
